This page of resources for rhythm will help you gradually expand your understanding of different rhythms and your ability to play them confidently, use them in pop, rock and folk songs, and to create rhythms for any songs you write. If you are in your first stages of playing, prioritise eighth note rhythms first, then the pop strumming pattern, then eighth notes with rests and the Charleston rhythm. You will cover these in the first 4-12 weeks of lessons with different handouts.

When you are comfortable with the core eighth note rhythms, you will start getting to know other types of rhythm. Move on to these when you get the relevant handouts.
